Born in Greenville, SC, Jerrell has been singing since he could talk. Along with his twin brother, he has performed all across the Southeast. Raised up in the church, gospel music has influenced him greatly. He has been a sponge of various styles of music from jazz, r&b, and the blues. His musical influences have come from Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, John Legend, Shirley Caesar, and a host of others.
