HOT music PLUS a dapper image MULTIPLIED by tight production and hit song writing ability EQUALS a sure record deal, right? Wrong! Rising Artist/Song-Writer/Producer J-EyE has been doing his thing several years, making songs that combine an ambitious and aggressive blend of Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop, and a stage show that inspires, involves and entices his audience, keeping dance floors packed all night and listeners anxious for more. But despite his talent, meetings with label execs concluded with them loving the music but insisting that J-EyE build his own buzz and pop the records off himself. "Invest in yourself before we invest in you," is what they said. J-EyE took that message to heart and subsequently wrote, recorded and released his debut album, iBelieve, independently last year. Next, managerial connections led J-EyE to a chance meeting in Miami with super producer Timbaland, who invited him to the Hit Factory studios. There the rising Artist/Song-Writer/Producer rubbed elbows with industry elite such as Missy Elliot, Jennifer Lopez, Scott Storch, Baby and Mannie Fresh. He spent several months in Miami and wrote and recorded songs with Timbaland and his protégé Danja. The experience coupled with the producers’ encouragement and tireless work ethic had a profoundly positive affect on J-EyE. He returned home to Brooklyn with no deal but more determined than ever to succeed in the music industry. Presently J-EyE has been working harder than ever, lending his versatile song-writing and production abilities to upcoming projects with Bad Boy, Mosley Music Group and KOCH Records. He has also been performing throughout New York, most recently at Hot 97’s Monday Night Talent Showcase, hosted by That Kid Monse, where he took home the grand prize with a stellar performance of his original song “I Get Around”. J-EyE’s new mixtape, The 25th Hour, features new music, a movie trailer, videos and is available now for free download on his myspace page. About The 25th Hour J-EyE simply states, “I am gonna let the music speak for itself.” You can also catch J-EyE performing on an upcoming Hot 97 sponsored “5 Boroughs Tour,” headliners to be announced soon. This talented artist/producer will not be denied his place in music and the hearts of all who listen. This is “Operation Reach Out” so get touched and become a believer.
