HI THERE!!! :o) Hello my name is John Lowe and I am from Kirtland, New Mexico. I finally gave in and created a homepage for my music. I was hesitant to share my music for such a long time. I have been writing songs since I was 16 years old. These songs that you hear now are my own. I love songwriting; it is my escape from this world. When people don't listen to what I say or when something is bothering me, I take a pencil or pen and take a blank manuscript paper and start writing. I love to write more than to talk to people. For some strange reason, writing my feelings on paper is more comfortable for me than to talk to someone. If people get a chance to listen to my songs, they will see that I love quiet music. I love to write slow ballads. I love to write lyrics that mean something, or would try to help someone in their trials. I think this is my way of helping someone, through my songs. I love to write subjects on things I hear. Things that people are too afraid to talk about, things I see on the news. For example, this was back in 1994 when Rwanda was making headline news and I wrote a song, 'Color Their World'. Yes, it was sort of a 'help the children of Africa' theme; but I did't care. Some people have told me that my songs sound serious and yes, I agree... I love writing melodies with a serious feel to it. It is how I write my songs, I realize in music writing, I don't have to write a 'Mozart masterpiece', but write something simple and write something from my heart. And if people don't like it then oh well, I can't make every one happy. One of my dreams in life is to write songs for my church and hopefully one day I hope to have one of my songs published in a hymnbook for church. It would mean the world to me to see one of my songs in a church hymnbook!! Well, these are my songs and I hope you get a chance to listen to them and hope they help in some small way.
