J-Ruc is a multi-talented music artist and is very versatile in what he does. He is a singer, rapper, producer, songwriter, and pianist. He began to teach himself how to play piano at the age 12. A year later he wrote his first song (I'm Sorry) at the age of 13. Also at age 13, he began to play around with his classmates, making jokes about them with raps. Little did he know, he would become serious about adding Hip-Hop to his musical resume. He recorded his 1st song, wrote his 1st rap, and produced his 1st instrumental beat at age 15. Earl Moore, a close friend of the family, overheard J-Ruc, his brother, and their closest friends working on music inside his home. At the time they resided in the very well known and rough projects of Lincoln Park in Portsmouth, VA. The talent that Earl heard from J-Ruc singing and songwriting caused him to introduce J-Ruc to the man who eventually became his biggest mentor both musically and spiritually, Sean Isaac. Sean Isaac recorded his 1st song "So Beautiful" and also allowed him to produce his 1st instrumental for that song. Every since that day J-Ruc and Sean Isaac have become like brothers. J-Ruc has taken what he has learned from Sean Isaac, Uncle Ben, and many others and crafted himself into his own artist. In 2013, he contacted his long-time friend and founder of Diffama Films, Diffama Ent., Diffama Music Group, and the Diffama clothing line, Mark Griffin about joining the group as a producer and artist. Seeing it as a new opportunity to add more talent to the roster, Mark agreed that it was a good idea. Now he is currently working on multiple projects including one for himself and Diffama Music Group. J-Ruc has a dream of being one of the greatest MUSICIANS of all-time and he believes with his versatility and constant maturing both musically and mentally, he may accomplish that dream.
