At 4ft 11” she is often nicknamed the “Pocket Rocket” or “Little Dynamo” as it always amazes audiences the power and energy that exudes from such a small little lady. At 4ft 11” she is often nicknamed the “Pocket Rocket” or “Little Dynamo” as it always amazes audiences the power and energy that exudes from such a small little lady. Kel-Anne was born in Cessnock NSW Australia, (Hunter Valley Wine Country) into a musical family. At the age of 2 Kel-Anne, with her mother and grandparents moved to the Regional town of Orange. It was there that she made her stage debut at 3 years old. This was also the beginning of her TV work appearing in Commercials at channel 8 in Orange. More recently she has appeared on Channel 7’s “All Saints” , then followed by a “St George” Bank commercial. Kel-Anne’s teenage years were spent in Sydney NSW and after leaving school, she moved to Newcastle NSW where she studied singing at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music. Kel-Anne also appeared on NBN Channel 3 in Newcastle, Singing and performing in TV commercials. An opportunity arose a few years later where she became one of the Singing Teachers at the “Johnny Young Talent School” in Newcastle. In 1991 Kel-Anne moved back to Sydney to further her Singing Career. In 1993 Kel-Anne re-married. Things were looking great, when in 1997 whilst juggling family, a day job and a Singing Career she found herself faced with a life threatening condition. This made her realize that this was the time to make her career a success and to follow her dreams. She gave up her day job and with the help of great Doctors and Surgeons she was able to pursue her dreams. Since 1997 Kel-Anne has recorded one promotional Album two EP’s plus one Commercial Album which was Produced by a Legendary American Producer John Beland including a duet with Brian Cadd. In 2001 the single “Somewhere Between Love and Leavin’” became a Top 30 Hit. This was produced by Clive Lendich, who has also produced hits for Artists such as the Robertson Brothers. In 2002 the Video clip of “Somewhere Between Love And Leavin’” launched Kel-Anne’s many performances on “Good Morning Australia” with Bert Newton. January 2002 Kel-Anne was nominated as a Top Five Finalist in the Female Vocal section in the TIARA Awards. In 2003 “Rodeo Eyes” Produced by John Beland became a Top 10 Hit on the National Country Charts and a Top 30 Hit on the Worldwide Mainstream Chart. In 2003 Kel-Anne was nominated for the 28th Annual ‘Mo’ Awards for “Female Country Performer of the Year” along with Kasey Chambers and Beccy Cole. Also in 2003 Kel-Anne was nominated for “Country Female Performer” in the 6th Annual Ace Awards. In 2004 the Prime TV Show “Little Bit Of Country” featured a live performance of Kel-Anne in Victoria. Also in 2004 Kel-Anne was honoured to be asked to perform at the Prestigious Victorian Country Music Awards along with Artists such as Troy Casser-Daly. In 2005 due to International popularity Kel-Anne signed a Distribution only Deal with “Statue Records” in Los Angeles for the Album “I’m Into Something Good”. Plus a retail Distribution deal with “Tower Records” throughout the USA. December 2005 Kel-Anne was Nominated again in the 30th Annual ‘Mo’ Awards for “Female Country Performer of the Year” with a “Certificate of Excellence in Live Performance” signed by Tommy Tycho. June 2007 Kel-Anne was honoured to be invited by “The Forces Advisory Council on Entertainment” (FACE) to sing for the Aussie Troops and Federal Police in the Solomons. Kel-Anne was thrilled to perform alongside fellow entertainers The Screaming Jets, Brielle and Bev Killick. 2007 Kel-Anne was nominated for the 31st Annual Australia, ‘Mo’ Awards, in the “Female Vocal section”. 2007 also launched Kel-Anne’s “Country Divas Show” which thrills audiences wherever it goes. In 2008 she had her 4th Nomination for the Mo Awards and 2nd Nomination for the 11th ACE Awards Kel-Anne’s new Album ”I’m A Big Girl Now” Recorded at “The Valley Studio” with Producer Roger Corbett was released June 27th 2008.The 1st single “Sometimes You Win When You Lose” has been released to Radio with the Video Clip playing on CMC. The 2nd single “Top Of My List” the duet with Daniel Thompson was released December 18th 2008 and has already received award nominations in the 2009 TIARA Awards and the 2009 Victorian Country Music Awards. And it became a #1 Hit on the HOT FM Charts. Kel-Anne has just had her 5th Nomination in the 33rd Australian Entertainment Awards for “Female Country Vocal Performer” along side Beccy Cole, Donna Boyd, Felicity, and Melinda Schneider. It is said,”Kel-Anne has a Dynamic stage presence, with a remarkably powerful, passionate and beautiful voice and the ability to sing anything….. She is truly a “Versatile Entertainer”.
