As a young girl, a tv-performance of Michael Jackson led Kellie Jaxson to having just one goal: The stage! “I knew right away: This was what I wanted to do”, Kellie says. No wonder the German native with Scandinavian roots already celebrated great success as a Latin- and Hip Hop-dancer from the tender age of 11. With her goal in sight she left Germany for the USA to learn from the best choreographers in the world and expand her dancing-skills. So far Kellie has been trained by such professionals as, Tina Landon (Janet Jackson), Fatima Robinson (Aaliyah), Marty Kudelka (Justin Timberlake) and Ben Harper (Will Smith). When Kellie performed “live on stage” at the ShowStopper-Awards in Atlanta, no one knew that in the next few minutes they were about to witness the start of a remarkable music-career. Being the only white contestant of the well-known talent-show on the east-coast, she astonished the audience with her dance-performance to the Janet Jackson song “If”. But there was more. Her following vocal interpretation of “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)” brought out her Blue-Eyed Soul for the first time. As the winner of the night, she was accepted for the annual M.Y.O.B.-talent-program and started her workshops in choreography, singing, acting and modelling right away. “It was the best education for me. My learning experience covered everything about the business, both on and off the stage”, says Kellie. ShowStopper-producer Yomi Bingham instantly saw Kellie’s extraordinary talent and as a result, her debut-single “Making my own break” was released just weeks later. The track achieved considerable radio airplay and intense media interest. In the course of the following tour Kellie performed in colleges, clubs and events, such as a gala, where she shared the stage with such acclaimed artists as Usher and TLC. The combination of her soulful, emotional and sensual voice, together with breathtaking moves and style soon captivated everyone. It came as no surprise that the casting-agents of Spelling Productions were taken by Kellie’s charm at an audition and offered her not only a guest role in the hit-series “Beverly Hills 90210” but also an appearance in the confederate-epos “Savannah”, alongside stars like George Eads (CSI, ER). Even though Kellie follows up with acting, music is her life. Influenced by the Motown-sound of the 60-ies she develops her own style and soon the press is calling her “The voice of white Pop-R’n’B”. As a result, she is honoured with the award of “Talent of the year” presented to her personally by Atlanta’s mayor, Bill Campbell. Kellie is highly recognized for her determination in being a strong role model for young people, especially young girls. She says: “The lack of school-education and the increase of alcohol and drug abuse among teenagers scares me. Kids are our future.” Therefore Kellie is involved in many charity-projects and she has even donated the gains of her first single to students that couldn’t afford a college-education. Back in Germany, Kellie slowed it down a little. Making contacts into the business turned out to be much harder than in the US. “All of a sudden I was in there alone, without having the supporting team I was used to relying on”, Kellie remembers, “but I’ve never given up and made my way here too.” Over the years Kellie has performed on many shows such as the “You”-fair and also the premiere of Star Wars III, where she caught the attention of London-based actor and songwriter CJ Simpson, who was so taken away by her versatility and expression that he started writing a couple of songs for Kellie. He also produces her demos. Some time ahead of the FIFA-World Soccer Championships in Germany Kellie gets the opportunity to co-write and record the song “Kick the ball man” which even makes it into the final round for the official theme song. She performs the song at many events during the tournament. Thanks to her acting talent and remarkable charisma, Kellie draws a lot of attention in the movie-scene as well. So far she has featured in many films and tv-series like „Blaze“ (Til Schweiger), „Alles Atze“ (Atze Schroeder) and „Vollidiot“ (Oliver Pocher). As a result, the well-known British producer-team of RUX-music (Usher/Sinead O’Connor) gets notice of the young artist. They write and produce the first songs for her upcoming single and album. Even at this time, with the release yet to come, Kellie causes a furore. The presentation of her tracks on MySpace and several other community-sites have led to a worldwide positive feedback, thousands of fans, new industry collaborations and contacts. Particularly in the US and UK the interest in the entertainer is unbroken. Kellie represents the “white Pop-R’n’B” like no other. Listeners can literally feel her passion and honesty in every show. The connection with the audience is undeniable. “There was a time in my life where I wanted to be a black girl. Now I know that music is not black or white, you just have to let your heart and soul speak. Every song of mine is a part of me”, she says. People always try to mark black-music artists. But understanding means to be able to read between the lines. “The words will not necessarily tell the whole story”, Kellie says. “Through my songs I share my experiences, thoughts and dreams. I take the audience on a journey with me. Like when I tell boys to back up in my songs, the words might sound angry at first, but if you listen closely you will find the whole truth. I’m a strong and independent woman and nobody is playing me for a fool. If you can’t handle me then you better not waste my time.” Kellie knows exactly what she wants and works extremely hard to make it to the top. With the soon to be released single and album she will take the music-world by storm. There will be no escaping the charisma of this exceptional artist. Kellie Jaxson will melt your heart as she continues her global dominance. Kellie is the positive force that the industry rarely finds, yet embraces with so much passion when discovered and showcased to the world. Kellie beams a mesmerising ray of light from a shining star.
