Originating out of Philadelphia, Pa, family and friends knew from the start Kristin Brooks would grow up to be a musician. With music surrounding her everywhere (at home, in church), practically spewing out of her ears, they knew it would be a good idea to start her off on an instrument. Growing up on r&b/soul music, Kristin turned to the classical side of things with piano lessons, and continued forth with choirs and musical theater throughout her childhood. Only staying in Philly for the first few years of her life, Kristin's family commuted and settled in a few other places (through her Dad's job). After Philly, she moved to Chicago, then to Houston, to Greenville, MS, and finally ended up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Growing up and experiencing all of these different places really play a role in the music she writes today. At 19, now based in Boston, Ma where she attends the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Kristin continues to write music among her fellow passionate colleagues and seeks to extend her life experiences through her music to her listeners.
