Hi people :) I'm Laurence Cooper alias L Dog. I live in New Zealand and make ambient rock music. I like dreamy music, and music with dimensions. My CD's so far are "56 Coopers Lane" and "Phosphorescence". The CD's front cover is of a New Zealand Beach with the back cover Brontes Beach, which sums up the CD as it was a New Zealand/Australian combination. The CD Phosphorescence" was a labour of love, taking 4 years and several trips to Australia to do it.I enjoyed recording the CD as I got to be in Sydney with my good friend Dave who recorded the CD. In breaks from the long hours we spent in the studio we enjoyed awesome lattes and muffins from the local deli. Music always goes better with food. And we visited the beautiful surf beaches in Sydney especially Brontes Beach, the inspiration for the title track.If you ever get the chance to go there do it. The water is so warm, and it has this great pool fenced off from the sea. Great swimming with the breakers crashing against the wall. It was quite a journey doing the CD but satisfying too, as often it is the trip more than the end purpose that makes the difference. Now playing as The Red a blues rock duo.
