Laura is just starting out in this world known as ‘The Music Biz.’ After struggling to find her voice, she has found comfort in the Rock Scene. In the summer of 2006, Laura was playing at an open mic nite at Tess’ Lark Tavern in Albany, NY when she was discovered by KC of The Crayons. He got her in touch with The Churchills. Laura has been collaborating with Ron Haney and Bart Schoudel from the Churchills since November 2006. Together, they have written/produced three songs, the most popular being “Can’t Stop Me.” In February 2007, the reality show programming department at MTV picked up the single. A 20-second clip was heard on an episode of MTV's "Two-a-Days" back in March. Therefore, she is now represented by BMI. Just recently, Laura did an interview with Indie Wired’s Trisha Connell, of 88.3 The Saint, to promote “Can’t Stop Me.” At the present time, “Can’t Stop Me” is being played for test audiences in Milwaukee and her demo is complete.
