Biography

Liberty 5-3000 hails from the dark uncultured chasm that is Winter Garden, FL. In a city where the talentless never sleep and a live venue is harder to find than the Holy Grail, we strive to create music with an intelligent message and a fun, happy-go-lucky feel. Liberty 5-3000 hails from the dark uncultured chasm that is Winter Garden, FL. In a city where the talentless never sleep and a live venue is harder to find than the Holy Grail, we strive to create music with an intelligent message and a fun, happy-go-lucky feel. The beginnings of Liberty 5-3000 happened entirely in the mind of their bassist, Jeremy Adams, who envisioned a band of talented musicians who could play more than just the typical endless amount of riffs that one hears every day on the radio. No, he wanted musicians who were willing to play rock and what have you, but had the ability to branch out into jazz and even fuse some into their original set. The band first picked up guitarist, Will Clark, who had been acquainted with Jeremy for some years. The singer, Phoebe Miller, joined next; seeing that she could play flute and had perfect pitch it seemed only natural that she should be in it. Nick Costa, and Kyle Bellar (the drummer and multi-instrumentalist respectively) joined next and the line-up was complete. We try to incorporate a somber musical humor in our music, because of this we do tend to sometimes have a very ambiguous style, however we are unified by the unique sound of Phoebe's voice, the use of an almost ever changing instrumentation (thanks to Kyle), Will's uncanny ability to create and shape melodic ideas, Jeremy's relentless and sometimes odd bass work, and Nick's solidity on the set. Hopefully you will enjoy listening to the music as much as we enjoy making it.
