"So Throwed" is the first release from Lil’ Notorious’ upcoming album, "Snatchin The Crown", to which the single has fashioned a profound anticipation for the circulation of “Snatchin The Crown.” Upon its release, "So Throwed" instantaneously proliferated. Not only did the amalgamation of charismatic lyrics fused with enthralling beats become entrenched in clubs, it instigated a gateway to supplementary opportunities including live performances and beseeched radio play that extended to contiguous states in which “So Throwed” remained on Louisiana’s radio station KKST’s top 4 countdown for three weeks. The compilation of rhythmical, sinuous, and judicious lyrics are conspicuously ingrained with the sound of true southern music. His album, "Snatchin The Crown", features some of the most well-known artists around, including Lil' Keke, HAWK, and ESG. Its professionalism, diversity of each song, and the one of a kind sound of Lil' Notorious only highlights the fact that a star is ready for exposure. Lil' Notorious has been rapping for years, but it was not until the end of his reign in the college basketball scene that he was able to turn his full attention to his rap career. His dedication and love for his music is apparent in the professionalism of his music, gained from spending studio time on a daily basis. Lil' Notorious is the solo artist of Huge Figures Records, a collaboration that together creates disreputable rhymes. You can learn more about the astounding label at their MySpace page, a featured link here on OurStage. When he is not in the studio, Lil' Notorious turns his attention to the writing of his original lyrics, focusing on his promotional output, and performing at local clubs. In August of 2007, Lil' Notorious took it one step further and drove from Texas to New York where he performed at The Music Factory at BET's Music Megastar. (You can view these performances on his MySpace page.)Even under the pressure of perfecting his album for the rapidly approaching due date, Lil' Notorious still found the time to deliver a mix-tape release prior to the album, "The Prequel", to give fans and soon-to-be fans a glimpse at his talent. The 19 track album is filled with tracks that are sure to lead fans to only imagine what "Snatchin' The Crown" must hold, due to the amazing presentation of a pre-release, all written at the same time as his album. Lil' Notorious has been featured on the album "Down South Chronic", a collaboration of surrounding underground artists that gained recognition in not only Texas, but also became a hit in Louisiana. In Lil' Notorious' home town, Houston, Texas, a new genre of music engulfed the southern states a few years back; D.J. Screw produced a twist to the rap scene with decelerated tracks that still presently is the preferential choice of rap fans that have been introduced to the undisclosed genre. The flourishing music abruptly came upon a dead end with the untimely death of D.J. Screw followed by his fellow partners Fat Pat and Big Hawk. “So Throwed” is only the beginning of a new era. The Freestyle Jesus possesses the “gift of gab” that is sure to rouse true southern music to a rap industry that is dominated by conformity; he is here to revitalize a dying commerce of rap, all of which is apparent in “So Throwed”; the crown now belongs to Lil’ Notorious, The Freestyle Jesus.
