The mid 90's is accredited for the birth of many things, including the Alternative Rock and Grunge Rock sound. Bands like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden came forward with a Polically Driven Sound very much teir own that is very much prominent today.
In the Hollywood Rock Scene, local bands on the "Pay to Play" circuits battled for Label and Fan Recognition as one by they all jumped on this new bandwagon of hope. However, one of those many bands, "lost child", held their course and quickly rose above the others as "a bridge between the two genres of Rock".
Building a large following, lost child gave proof that Rock was not dead.., only progressing. They managed to have three of their songs (Here Me, World!, An Indian Song and Lost in the Night) featured on local radio stations KNAC, KLSX and Pirate Radio and lost child quickly became the band to watch. Close attention was even being given by several Record Labels, including: Geffen, MCA, SIR, and Paradigm Records.
Although their short lived existence ended in 1996 their music is still very much in the now.
Give a listen and decide for yourself.
