www.loud.com), a top-rated growing online A&R and networking resource for aspiring recording artists and producers, recently announced the start of its 2nd $100,000 online rap battle contest and producer challenge. The contest is the next installment in the site's online rap battle competition. Users to the site compete through 10 rounds of elimination for a cash prize and recording contract with SRC/ Universal Motown (as of 9.15.08, Rappers are in Round 6, Producers in Round 5 - ENTER AT ANYTIME - FREE!!!). The contest's first grand prize winner, Tha Crow, who was one of nine top finalists selected during as the competition's debut, is now working on his debut album to be released on SRC/Universal Motown.
The new competition grants registered users a chance to upload original music to the Loud.com website, a feature restricted from the previous competition, and submit their original compositions as entries for the chance to win a guaranteed $100,000 dollars and an OPTIONAL SRC/Universal Motown recording contact. Users will have access to the Windows/browser-powered Loud Online Recording Studio, a digital online sound bank housing tracks from some of music's biggest name hip-hop producers including Sha Money XL, DJ Green Lantern, Havoc of Mobb Deep, Cool and Dre, and DJ Khaled.
Coinciding with the 20 week competition is the new Producer Challenge, which gives aspiring producers the opportunity to add their original beats to the Loud Online Recording Studio making them accessible to rap battle contestants. The winning producer will take home $15,000 as well as an OPTIONAL production deal through SRC/Universal Motown.

At the end of the 20 weeks, a producer winner will be chosen, along with 10 rapper finalists who will go through a set of challenges embodied into the "webisode" series, The Finalists: Season 2.
