Every once in a while a talent rises out of the crowd, someone that sets the trends which will, ultimately, be followed. The year is 2008 and the artist is Lenny Miceli a.k.a. L-Rude. Born and raised in small town Canton , Massachusetts (a short distance from Boston ) L-Rude is clearly "not your typical rapper". At age 18 L-RUDE got signed to a local record label C.C.M.G. which houses triumphant records. Since then he's been balancing his day job and recording his first debut CD, titled "So Rude", which is due out June 28th . So Rude includes his two hit singles "Get U Lifted" and "Do It Like Me", which are both available to listen to on his official site and his MySpace. Throughout time, music has been an effective means of communication for ideas. Hip Hop has an energy that appeals to a large audience and a style that is made for sending a message. Many of the popular songs of this generation talk about real life situations and experiences, even referencing gangs, drugs and a variety of other topics facing us today, such as living life on the street and working hard to make it through life. L-Rude is unique because he raps about his life, which helps us to understand him more clearly. To sum up L-Rude's creative force to his music, "creative hustle" is the closest descriptive phrase that comes to mind. Hip Hop music has been criticized and labeled as a "bad influence on American Culture" however, L-Rude is attempting to change this perception through his lyrics, which are about his own life experiences. L-Rude gives his audience a physical view through his on-stage performances, appealing to their emotions; he is working hard to distribute his music to his audience, his expressions of his thoughts, ideas and beliefs. Whether you come from "the hood" or the suburbs, we are all fighting the same wars, just on different battlefields.
