Luce has been establishing quite a buzz for himself with peformances at the "Faces In The Crowd" showcase, winning that event and performing at the "Making Music NY" event sponsored by Timeout New York. Luce is quickly becoming one of the more embraced up-and-coming artists in hip hop today. Artist Information Biography Nas stated that Hip-Hop is dead. Luce has arrived to breathe life into hip-hop once again and bring the city of New York back to its rightful place in the game. Born on February 1st 1988, Luce grew up appreciating all types of music. Growing up to the classics of R&B and Soul, Luce was introduced to the melodic sounds of Earth, Wind and Fire, The harmonious serenades of Luther Vandross and Patti Labelle. As the genres changed Luce also gained admirations for music through some of today’s artists like New Edition, Boys 2 Men and, Mary J. Blige. When Luce got his first taste of Hip Hop, it was through the Sugar Hill Gang’s Rappers Delight. His love for the art grew more when he got to hear Notorious B.I.G. Influenced by his style along with artists like Jay-Z, Eminem and Nas. Luce started to put his thoughts and visions to paper and decided that he could be considered one of the future names in Hip Hop. With a style that holds some of the most metaphorical and intellectual concepts today, Luce moves to a different beat; one that has been long needed since the acceptance of the “gangster rapper” mentality. But don’t let his smooth taste fool you; Luce can drop a verse that can make the most celebrated gangster nod his head in appreciation.
