I've been blessed with so many amazing experiences in over 40 countries, during which I met so many kind people from all around the world. Hailing from Australia, Lucy Gallant began sharpening her instrumental skills as a teenager; learning to play the drums and guitar, as well as showcasing her newfound talents before live audiences in clubs, pubs and music festivals across Australia. Lucy's career is already framed by her unique blend of Acoustic, Reggae, Funk, Dance Hall, Rock, Pop and Trip Hop music genres. Creating a new and innovative sound that beats beyond the boundaries of industry conventions, Lucy allows her music to illustrate her sense of freedom. Her lyrics reflect the everyday struggles and triumphs that exist within the confines of relationships, humanity, politics and the vivid journeys that define our lives. Inspired by the essence of nature and varying emotions; the sky, air, trees, ocean, love, pain, hate, life and family, Lucy is determined to connect with her fellow listeners by delivering songs that are relatable and introspective. Lucy has already recorded and released three compilations to her listeners and fans over the past four years. Producing her first, studio EP, The Knowing, in 2004, as well as her most recent, full-fledged, studio LP, Love Poems, Lucy has comprised a catalogue of material that reflects various emotions, memories and feelings. Lucy's juxtaposition of Reggae and Afro beats, with Spanish and English Lyrics, contributes to the accolades she has received by winning The Blues Over Byron Music competition, as well as being featured in The Orijin Online Magazine. As Lucy is on the brink of releasing a new album this year, she's also looking to collaborate a team of professionals who will aid her in management and tour support. Ultimately, Lucy Gallant wants to continue creating quality music and original sounds that will guarantee her longevity in the industry.
