Iowa-born singer/songwriter Luke Viertel can usually be found with a smile on his face and within a 10 foot radius of his musical instruments. A self-diagnosed “thinkaholic”, Luke explores and implements the inner workings of his thoughts into his music. Luke is a lifelong performer and musician, having studied classical voice and theater since grade school. As of 2005, he began to develop a new aspect of his musical acumen: songwriting. Since then he has composed over 30 original songs, mostly performed and recorded in the great state of Iowa. As he creeps further into adulthood, Luke enjoys a moderate live schedule as well as contributing to his friends’ and family’s musical endeavors.
