Lynn Blue known affectionately as Lady Blue is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelors degree in business and an associate in management. Lynn Blue known affectionately as Lady Blue is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelors degree in business and an associate in management. She is a former Contracting Office for the Department of Defense. Concrete writing has been her livelihood but creative writing has been her life line. The last 3 years have seen Lynn Blue return to her passion for writing with a passion. In 2005 she was featured in a PBS animation, A Room Nearby, produced by Paul and Sandra Fierlinger which is currently running until the end of 2009. Her first prize play, “The Sense of a Punk” was produced in 2006 at the Walt Whitman Art Center and directed by Ossie Jones. She self published her first chapbook, Poetic Therapy in 2007. Currently she is working on a full length book of short stories and poetry She has been published in Inferno No Boundaries, Poetry Ink 2008 and The 2nd Annual Light of Unity Festival. Lynn, has featured or performed, throughout, the tri state area some of the venues are: New York Pizza, Walt Whitman Arts Center, Rowan University, Gyphon Café, October Gallery, Panoramic Poetry, WHAT radio stations( the old and new), Milkboy Coffee Cafes, Robins Book store, Last Word, Big Blue Marble, Kelly’s Writers House, Seven Stone Café, Harvest Bookstore, Belmont Hills Library, Allie Tea Garden, Delco Science Institute, Mad Poets Annual Festivals, Enclaves Gallery, Green Mile, MugShots, The Blue Bananas Cafe and Arcadia University. She is paving the way for poetry in musical venues. Lynn has been the first and only featured poet for the Annual Caribbean Festival held at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia. She was featured in 2007 and 2008. She has recently worked with the Jr. Human Rights Commission encouraging New Jersey area high school youths to “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Lynn is dedicated to the business of utilizing her many voices to encourage our young. She has worked in the Community Education Program (CEP) alternative school system teaching poetry as a means of conflict resolution. She both enlightens your conscience, and entertains your heart through the bearing of her soul: as she teaches others to do the same. She is an independent contractor working hard to teach the youth how to “write it out instead of fighting it out.” She is also the founder and host of the poetry series, Poetic Minds Plus which airs every third and fourth Saturday of the month on blog talk radio at 4:00 PM eastern standard time. The program is designed to provide a format for the youth to share their artistic talents and to promote independent artists. Lynn works as a substitute teacher, at Friends Haverford School and as a teaching artist, for Arts and Spirituality. She resides in Ardmore with her husband Charlie: who is also her most ardent fan, best friend and spiritual brother.
