Maggie McClure, a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, and pianist from Norman, OK, has played a wide variety of events from in-house concerts to national festivals throughout the past several years. Maggie McClure, a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, and pianist from Norman, OK, has played a wide variety of events from in-house concerts to national festivals throughout the past several years. Her unique live performance, her sincere presentation of original songs, and her creative interpretations of cover songs attract audiences of all kinds. Maggie’s sound is related by listeners to artists such as Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, and Sara Bareilles. Maggie released her self-titled album, which was produced by Will Hunt (Ryan Cabrera, Amy Lee of Evanescence, Shane and Shane, Nick Lachey, Bethany Dillon), in 2007. Japanese indie label, Spinning, took interest in Maggie's album and distributed it nationwide in Japan in February 2009. Many of Maggie’s songs are currently being played on MTV’s The Hills and The City, as well as CBS’s hit soap opera, The Young and The Restless. Maggie has performed shows/festivals with or opened for: Metro Station, The Black Crowes, Of Montreal, Citizen Cope, Carney, Rooney, Ian Moore, Stardeath and White Dwarfs, Starlight Mints, The Uglysuit, CAKE, Marie' Digby, and many others. Maggie attended South By Southwest and Red Gorilla Music Fest in March 2009 and showcased at the Vintage Lounge in downtown Austin. Maggie showcased at the Norman Music Festival in April 2009 and at Tulsa's DFEST in July 2009. She showcased on the Main Stage at NACA Nationals in Boston in February 2010. She is looking forward to her showcases at upcoming festivals in 2010. Maggie has been actively writing new material. She will be recording a new EP this summer and will be touring the country in the fall. Check back often for updates!
