Marie Smith

I am a singer and songwriter who performs at a lot of local coffeehouses and small gatherings. Although I appreciate these small jobs, I would love to be able to perform for larger audiences. It has always been my dream to be able to make a living as a performer. Singing is one passion that truly sets me on fire. I am greatly inspired by groups such as Heart and U2 (although, of course, my "sound" is totally different from theirs). Other performers who have influenced me are Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan, and Norah Jones.

Music is the love of my life, and the more I play the happier I am. I am very grateful for every chance I get to perform, even if there are only two or three people in the crowd. I will sing for the baristas if the coffeehouse is empty!!!
