Matt learned to play violin by ear when he was eight, began performing at festivals at nine, and recorded his first song at ten. His unique combination of charisma, natural athleticism, and musicianship have gathered a serious following and have led Matt to an increasingly lucrative variety of performance opportunities.
Matt has rocked the stage alongside such huge acts as the Jonas Brothers and Jordin Pruitt, and has performed in shows with Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and contestants from So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol.
Matt’s musical prowess extends to a variety of instruments including the guitar, the mandolin, and the hurdy gurdy, a favored Renaissance instrument. His raw musical talent and dynamic stage presence have caught the attention of some of the music industry’s most powerful individuals. It doesn’t seem like Matt would have much time for anything else, but he still manages to pursue acting (he has appeared in several commercials for Hasbro) and to train and perform in the circus, where Matt’s ball-balancing and juggling act has wowed audiences of all ages. When Matt isn’t busy performing or working in the studio, he likes to chill at his favorite sushi restaurants or read a good book.
His accomplishments may seem unreal for someone his age, but Matt keeps it real by enjoying some pretty typical teen pursuits, including rock climbing and skateboarding. He also gives back to his community by participating in benefit shows. Matt has performed in multiple fundraisers for autism, juvenile diabetes, elementary schools, and retirement homes.
