Before the new album “Remedial Music”, and before the sudden comparison to Drake, Medic started his career in the small town of Salisbury in North Carolina. Starting at the age of 16, he was taunted into the world of hip hop by his brother “Demo” and began to find himself as an artist. He completed his first project called “The Surgical Mixtape” after moving to Greensboro, NC. While in Greensboro, he began to work on albums and meet various talents. His second album, “On Schedule”, proved to be real successful by leading to showcase performances in New York and Atlanta. With sales from shows and online sites, Medic was convinced to move forward. Local artists such as Ed E. Ruger, Ty Bru, Big Lan The Heavyset, and Medic’s tag team partner and producer Genyus, helped launch him into the position of music he created. He continued to do shows across the Carolinas and sell the albums that followed. He then managed to jump aboard onto his current label “Mightier Than The Sword” that is captained by Ty Bru. His first release with the label, “Muzik 4 Tha Blind”, led to several shows in Roanoke, Greensboro, Charlotte, Wilmington, Chapel Hill, and Asheboro. This also allowed him to open for acts such as Hurricane Chris. Still determined to advance his career, he is releasing his 8th album entitled “Remedial Music” on August 21, 2010 which will be led by his two singles “Another One” and “N Love”.
