Starting with the accordion, bass guitar would follow and eventually, guitar and piano. It was the piano that was to be instrument of choice. Over the years, Mike found his niche as a lead vocalist/keyboard player and was in high demand throughout the New England area. His most recent work was with a popular cover band called "South Street band" but as in life, all good things would eventually come to an end. One day, he attended a "Red Sox" game at Fenway Park in Boston and this event, would forever change his musical life. During the 7th inning stretch at all Redsox home games, the "Neil Diamond" tune, "Sweet Caroline" is played over the loudspeakers. It didn't take long before Mike realized that 35,000 people were singing along to this song - that is when the "proverbial light" went on! As a result of this phenomenon, Mike immersed himself into the entire works of "Neil Diamond" and as a result of his dedication and hard work, he is now Massachusetts best "Neil Diamond" tribute act .In fact, he is second to none in this regard! Most recently, Mike Anthony, played a sold out concert in Gardner Massachusetts with stunning results. People came away from this concert shaking their heads in disbelief at how closely he sounded to "Neil Diamond". Since then, Mike Anthony has refined his show and is drawing not only "rave" reviews but also, "huge" crowds of "Neil Diamond" fans from across New England. Simply put, if one were to close their eyes and listen, they would be hard pressed to hear any difference between the original artist and Mr. Anthony - this is a show that shouldn't be missed!
