Ohio-born singer-songwriter, Michelle Hemmer, showcases a body of work that includes a mix of pop, rock, folk and country. She began her career singing in harmony-based bands where she discovered that she not only wanted to sing, she wanted to write.
After a move to Los Angeles, Michelle formed the band, “Dakota”, recorded & released 2 albums and began playing all over town at such well-known venues as Molly Malone’s, The Viper Room and Highland Grounds. In 2008, she branched out on her own recording her 15-track, solo cd called “Michelle Lynn”. This release includes tracks ranging from straight up pop tunes to bluegrass.
In 2010, Michelle released her second solo effort entitled "Beautiful Seconds." This is her most eclectic and personal work to date featuring all aspects of her writing personality ranging from sweet ballads, straight up pop tunes, singer-songwriter acoustic tracks and rock.
Her many influences include Counting Crows, Indigo Girls, Ben Folds, Little Big Town, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, and on and on.
Michelle’s music can be heard featured on several television shows including Nickelodeon’s “iCarly”, "Victorious," “Zoey 101” and “Drake & Josh.” Her song “Strange” was a feature song on the most watched episode of “Zoey 101”, garnering over 7 million viewers.
Currently residing in Nashville, TN, Michelle is currently playing around town and touring around the country. She continues to pursue outlets in Television and Motion Picture licensing as well. All 4 of her releases entitled "Beautiful Seconds, "Michelle Lynn", “Another Round” and “Guess What” are currently available on iTunes and CD Baby.
