From hearing his mom play piano at church as a kid to first picking up a guitar at age 11, Alabama native, Mike Anderson has been around music his entire life. Mike has spent the past 3 years writing, recording, his first full length album, Closing Credits for a Fire.
After trying a number of incarnations, Mike established the current lineup of The Deputies. With Taylor Lonardo (of Tequila, The Great Barrier Reefs & Tony) on bass, Evan Hutchings (of Griffin House) on drums providing a tight yet dynamic foundation, the technical prowess of Michael Sharp ..board, and the tasteful licks of Daniel Scobey (of The New Whole Usuals) on guitar, Mike has found an incomparable accompaniment to his spirited voice and guitar playing. Drawing influence from all genres of music, Mike's live act promises a healthy dose of originals, along with choice covers by classic artists ranging from Michael Jackson to The Band.
