Grew up in the Chicago land area, between "Racine Courts", "North Chicago,Ill., and Ova East around 88Th St. Lawrence". Raised by a very fiesty mom Vanessa Glenn who married Richard Gibbs. Richard introduced him to the world of music and recording. Traveling back and forth with Richard on some Gigs he had to break down equipment and carry it, which taught him a lesson. " Grind Hard or go home!" Watching Richard perform and produced he learn several techniques that would later in life be very valuable. Writing rhymes, and Trappin Hard he managed to start perfecting his craft and became more confident then ever. Due to his life in the streets he was sent to IDOC where he learned to move a crowd by Spittin That Aggression out of the bottom of his lungs.During his stay in Illinois Correctional facilities most of those "Old Tymers" told him to persue music as a new direction that would lead him to something GREAT. In 1999 he hooked up with D.J Rub of 606 ent. and worked his mojo until "Rub" was locked up. With his childhood buddies on his side "Dartanyan aka Scoots and Cobey helped him reach the next level by getting him to do some shows. They were blessed to open up for Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz in Lafeyette, Indiana along side Knuckle Up Records recording artists. After that show he came back home and started Trappin Harder creating lil mix Cds and selling them fa 8 Bucks. 800 cds flew out the trunk in 3 days which sent him back in the studio, only this time as a member of "Psych Ward". Even under management he was still trappin hard, found them a show opening up for "8ball & MJG at the "First Annual Trappers Ball" at Club Chrome in Springfield, Illinois. 6 songs after the show Psych Ward grew apart because of management issues. Mikiedagrip decided to start his own Label "Block Boy City. Since then H e has opened up for Gucci Mane at Club Chrome in Springfield and released 2 mixtapes and has sold 15,000 copies out of his trunk within in months, from his own facility. The name "Mikiedagrip" is cause he Klutch wut he touch! Also available are ring tones, and other merchandise. Style is aggression meets swag.... Influences were 2Pac, UGK, No Limit Soldiers, Scarface, Psych Drama, Snypaz, D Fly, Crucial Conflict, Snoop Dog, Jay-Z, P Diddy, Dame Dash, and Jermaine Dupri. Biggest influence was Richard Gibbs.
