miller micheal Bio Miller micheal is a native of Baltimore, MD who has been an industry professional in many capacities and is finally embarking on a long-awaited solo project called Pitshandy due to be released on Febuary 7, 2011. He is a lover of all forms of music which began at the age of seven, when his beautiful, Native American Great-grandmother explained to him that his spirit needed freedom and expression and his lifelong profession should be in music or sports. This sage advice proved to be true, as he has pursued his undying love of music in many different forms over the years. His musical influences are: Kenny Loggins, James Taylor, Prince, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire, and Mint Condition. You’ll find that miller micheal is an adept musician playing the keyboards, trumpet, acoustic and electric guitar, but his forte is as a talented and charismatic vocalist and rapper/lyricist. Over the years, he has performed with the Baltimore-based groups CHAZZ, which opened for Prince in 1990 and toured Southeast Asia as a part of an Armed Services tour and with the band Se7Ven which was formed in 2000. He characterizes his time with Se7ven as the best time of his life (both personally and professionally) because of the synergy between each of the 6 other dynamic band members: Krissi V., Dizz, Byrd, Mark, Will, and Cori, who yielded an explosive sound they liked to call “Nubian Rock”. Se7ven was courted by many record labels such as Flyte Tyme, Sony and several Indie labels, but the group disbanded after a deal with a major label dissolved. Formally trained, miller micheal is a sound and recording engineer who worked for legendary groups and solo artists such as: Guy, K-Ci and Jo Jo, Bobby Brown, Musiq Soulchild, bass and guitar players Rhonda Smith (Karma Deuce) and Kat Dyson both of Prince and the NPG fame. He also delved into television by engineering on the “Baisden After Dark” show and a few episodes of the hit show “Half ‘n’ Half“. These varied experiences across the entertainment industry gave him a chance to see true professionalism, both on and off stage, and taught him what he should avoid and embrace during his journey in the industry. In 2009, miller micheal was sorely missing the creative process of making music and his time on the stage. Friend and founder of NuRoots Music, LLC., Walter Hughes, encouraged miller micheal to do a solo project after hearing some of his soaring vocals over an acoustic guitar on a random summer afternoon and the beginning stage of the new project was born. Not only will you find the CD, Pitshandy to be riddled with infusions of Soul, Rock, R&B and Hip-hop, but you will be surprised to discover the display of his many talents throughout the length of the CD. He sang lead and background vocals, played keyboard and guitar and mixed the entire project all while writing or co-writing almost all of the songs recorded. His acute engineering ear will assuredly yield a nearly, if not perfect sound and seasoned veterans of the industry and music aficionados will appreciate his meticulous attention to detail.
