Mista' T, also known as "the lil' nigga' wit' the DEEP voice" and "Tha Man of tha Century" has now evolved into "Tha Independent Great". Why the new title? Well, the music speaks for itself. As an artist, songwriter, producer, studio engineer, etc...Mista' T has what it takes to be a future PLATINUM artist. There are few artists with the passion, dedication, determination, and drive that this young artist has. For years, Mista' T has been an essential part of the music industry with his sheer confidence and individual swagger. Rap music has been in the blood of this young entrepreneur since birth, although he wasn't able to create his own until the age of eight. "I have so many songs written that I was planning on them being compiled and released as a book in the event of my demise, if I should happen to make it before I pass. I also have plenty of unreleased, recorded material, so mixtapes aren't a problem." With a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, it is clear to see that Mista' T is a businessman. His motivation is to make the world realize there are actually Southern artists that can drop gems and thought-provoking lyrics. "Most of these artists have lost their creativity and intelligence, because all they think about is the money. No one has that genuine love for the art anymore. You will never hear me making 'snap' records or 'bubblegum music'. I refuse to. I will remain true to self and the money will come, because of the amount of respect I will garner from the industry. I'm sure of that, for the simple fact that I'm the TRUTH." As an engineer, Mista' T worked at a full-fledged recording facility in Riverdale, Georgia. His impeccable craving for knowledge and business acumen lead to him learning the industry, basically, inside out. "If I see the opportunity to learn more about this music than I already know, I get on it." While an employee at the studio, he learned and perfected vocal mixing, mastering, and studio engineering insuring that he brought out the best in his artists. While there, he became one of the most requested engineers. As a producer, Mista' T has his own unique sound that he deems "the greatest orchestration never heard". One thing that makes him stand out as a producer aside from his sound is the affordability of his tracks. Mista' T loves the independent music world being an artist himself, therefore he caters to them heavily. "Basically, I don't just sell my production to just anybody. If I like your music and feel that you would compliment my sound, the betta' the price will be...point blank. It just depends on how well I vibe wit' you." Sound-wise, Mista' T can hang with the best of them...whether it be on an MPC or a software like Fruity Loops. One thing that makes this artist reign above others is his creativity. Ninety-percent of his music is self-produced. "I'm not stingy, I just know what I like in my music. Not every producer is capable of concocting the sound I want at that particular time. I'm my own best producer, but I am versatile enough where I can spit on anybody's track...from the weakest to the strongest." He is also the CEO of Insane Records with a strong roster of artists and affiliates. His goal is to prove to the world that there are artists in the South that are capable of holding their own lyrically. "We are a package at Insane Records. Everyone has more than one talent wit' this music, mayn, and I plan on pushin' all of it to the highest pinnacle possible. We 'bout to put the industry in a chokehold." Mista' T definitely has what it takes to make it in the industry. With five solo albums, three group albums, three mixtapes, and numerous collaborations behind him, Mista' T is getting set to release "Tha Independent Great". With this being album number six, Mista' T says that he is going to put all of the effort and promotion that he didn't put in previous projects. "I have never felt this confident about any work I have done in the past and with that said, I plan on putting a lot of power behind this project. I have complete hits this time. I think that this is the one that is going to push me into the industry correctly. It's going to get me some recognition." By the way things sound, Mista' T may be on to something this go 'round.
