Jesus "Caliph" Aponte was born on July 3, 1986 in Camden, New Jersey. Caliph was born and raised in Camden until the age of 17 where he then enlisted in the Marine Corps. "Stationed in Southern California for the last four years aint been easy. For one, ive been away from my enviroment and the music is real different. It still gave me an opportunity to develope my music and become the full mc i wanted to be." Caliph started his own Indie Label named MPYRE MUSIC, which stands for Music Passed down by Yesterdays Real Emcees." Music is my life and i cant see myself doing anything less. I plan on being not only a face in hip hop but also a face in Jersey!"
