Born and raised in Dallas, TX NINA has been singing her whole life. From being a child singing in the church choir to making up songs with cousins, music was in her blood. NINA wasnt sure about her quest for music until 2003 when she formed a duo with Shaunika Hill called Shamara. They met in college and begin writing songs and practicing their talent as a group. That same year they were picked up by an indie label and begin the road to making great music and were heading for success. Not long after a long time friend and fellow musician C Matt was picked up by the label and begin to produce for Shamara as well as himself. Due to creative differences in the label, Shaunika left the duo and NINA became a solo artist known as NeShay. She begin to study the industry and become a great performer writing great music. Eventually the creative differences trickled down to NINA and C Matt and both left the label at the same time. It had been years after that before NINA decided to take another stab at music. She and C Matt joined forces to create a hot new sound for NINA (who was still performing under the stagename of NeShay). Shortly after NINA became pregnant with her daughter and slow down her journey on the road to music. She continued to write and record but no longer was performing. After her daughter was born, the drive for music was at an all time high. This was her motivation to succeed at what she was destined to do. Changing her name to NINA (Never Intimidated Never Arrogant), she took a different turn down the music road. Her lyrics became more blunt and true to life...but she also discovered her love and talent for rapping. She begin to creat songs like Homey and Chick On The Side which spoke volumes of her newfound image. She began to perform again and debuted her new image at a showcase organized and put on by NINA herself "Introducing Ms NINA". Since then she has released a mixtapee on datpiff.com entitled NINA Official Madness Mixtape as well as continuing to perform. NINA is also an upcoming model working hard to create a place in the modeling world for herself as well as hosting her own blogtalk radioshow Underground Speaks 2 NINA. She is an all around boss who is trying her best to make a name for herself one fan at a time.
