Murry Boy was born as Dante’ Eugene Murry on march 12, 1987 to a family of 6 on the Southside of Chicago. As the middle child he was forced to do whatever it took to stand out from the others. Sang happy birthday to himself on his 1st birthday and haven’t stop singing since. Performed for the 1st time at church on Easter Sunday where his pastor prophesied “ you will become one of the worlds lead singers”. That same night Murry told his mother about his dreams of getting them out the hood. He began learning to perfect his music skills by practicing everyday and forcing himself to learn about the ins and out of the music industry by reading at least one book a month. This study was made easy for him seeing as though his family was too poor to afford cable, which allowed him to think outside the cable box. Now his creativity had no choice but to roam. By the age of 14 Murry had performed at least 100 times throughout the Chicago land area. But exposer was limited by fundings to perform outside his hometown It was that year his mother decided to better his chances by moving into one of the cheapest apartments she could afford in the suburbs, assuming it would be better than the city life. After living in Hazel crest, IL for a year Murry was signed to Streelife records with expectations of forfilling that prophecy as one of the industries hottest R&B artist . After being shelved for 2 years Murry was dropped from the label due to natural voice changes with age. Going through labels began to get depressing to the point where Murry was almost close to giving up. But he didn’t stop there…..these trials were only motivation for what he was destined to do. Late 2006, Murry moved to Minnesota to stay with his older brother. That same month he received a call from a friend telling him to audition for a reality t.v. show called Making the Band 4. He took this opportunity so serious that he spent two months preparing for it. Murry finally auditioned a landed a spot as a finalist on the hit series but was later eliminated on the show for contest reasons and was sent back to Minnesota to continue his hustle. Not knowing what he was getting himself into, Murry stumbled across some bad decisions an got involved with the wrong crowd. After being caught in some illegal situations, he felt it was time for a change. He hustled 200 dollars in one week for a greyhound ticket out of his problems and into Atlanta, music’s capital. There he began managing and developing his own crafts to make Murry Boy a household name. Murry soon founded his own music group (G.I. Music Group). Now at 21 years old, Murry has mastered his skill as an artist in many ways including vocal/dance lessons, writing and arranging all lyrics, and producing hit songs receiving radio play for artist under his belt such as: Lokei, Bishop City, Dillow and many others. Now ready for the big leagues, Murry Boy (name given by his late grandmother) will be known across the globe as a legendary mogul. Of everything he’s been through, this young and talented genius is more determined than ever to make history for his family and himself to see. In the words of Murry, "Losing is not an option". MY MUSIC CAREER IS DEDICATED TO THE LIFE OF MY LATE FATHER (Daddy A. ) AND GRANDMOTHER (Granny). I’MA MAKE U PROUD
