Currently at age Twenty-One (21) Randy Lawson, otherwise known today as "Myth" -- is far from your average hip hop emcee. This Asian-American emcee was Panama born, but was raised both in South Korea and Texas; where he is currently doing his thing. At this tender age, he has managed to make his mark in the hip hop industry. With no label, Myth has already released his debut EP titled "Non-Fiction." Which in turn, received a lot of praise. The EP featured original hit singles such as "Promise" & "Thank You." Not to mention, the remix he did to Eminem's "Toy Soldier" and Ne-Yo's "So Sick" song. Shortly after releasing these hits, there was a lot of commotion. He had the streets asking "Who is Myth?" -- "Where can I get more of his music?" With the singles off his EP, and a couple of other songs from previous mixtapes (the songs No, no no, & Name Is both off the Purgatory v915 mixtape), Myth had built himself a small fanbase. It was then when Myth's "So Sick Remix" that captured the attention of Gabe (CEO of Remix TV). The both had a discussion, and turns out the song landed him an interview on the nationwide TV show, on the Telemundo station. At this point, Myth was feeling more confident than ever. Without releasing anymore singles, he had to do whatever he could to keep his name circulating -- doing shows and battling. He then hooked up with DJ T-Nyce and LTD from the Street Grind radio station out in Oklahoma. Loving what Myth had to offer, they recorded and aired a phone interview, as well as his single "Promise." Keep in mind, that interview help expand his quantity of fans and supporters. He also had the opportunity to be interviewed and have his EP reviewed by LiveMicSociety.com (an online hip hop community). "I'd say that Myth the MC has a very bright future ahead of him if he keeps this up. His lyrics are honest, the production is fresh, and he's definitely got something to say. He is one of those few artists who deserve to get a chance to blow up and become big." - K-Burner. He's also been apart of several other online hip hop communities such as UniqFx.net, and ElPasoMusicScene.com. With a mind full of determination, and a die-hard fanbase, Myth is set out to strive for perfection. While his voice puts you in the mood, the deep lyrics and messages have you understanding him as an emcee and as a person. Keep your ears glued to that stereo; believe me, there is more to come from this one rising artist.
