Brandon “NameBrand” Crenshaw 24: Hailing from the well known streets of Long beach, CA, NameBrand is changing the sound of West Coast Hip Hop. NameBrand is the protégé of legendary underground rap artist Ras Kass. Everytime he hits the booth he exudes high energy, sweltering swagger and innovative delivery. Recently NameBrand finished up a nationwide tour with Rakim and Ras Kass. This tour included coast to coast appearances at all House of Blues locations, with back to back sell out days at the Anaheim and Hollywood venues. NameBrand first hit us off with his freshman mixtape with DJ Mayday entitled “The Outspokesman Vol. 1” in 2002. More recently NameBrand and fellow group mates Ras Kass and Jay211 released a group effort for European only release entitled “Chinese Graffiti”. Chinese Graffiti has gathered great acclaim and has already exceeded its predicted sales numbers. In January NameBrand distributed a collection of unreleased songs for free download called “Know The Name!!” Know the name harnessed over 9,000 downloads in the first week alone and has gone on to over 13,000 downloads. Currently in post-production is his first solo album-project “Fligh Skool Bully”, slated to be released in Summer of 2008.
