The Neighborhood Hustlaz are musicians from different backgrounds united to empower and motivate hustlers with a unique sound. Neighborhood Hustlaz are composed of male and female singers, rappers, producers and engineers. Artist/Engineer/CEO, Carnage aka Mel Man (Born March 9, 1987 in Queens, NY) is the mastermind behind the movement. When he was 7 years old his family moved to Newport News, VA to pursue better job opportunities, then later moved to Richmond, VA where Carnage would began pursuing the music scene.At the age of 17, Carnage let it be known to everyone he has what it takes to be a successful musician, after keeping this talent a secret since 9 years old. Carnage released the first mixtape, Neighborhood Hustlaz Vol.1, in 2004. The mixtape was an underground success, and it propelled him to local fame. He started his own record label D.U.E Entertainment, and signed artists Big B, Storm, and Pistol Wise, when he was 22. Big B with his distinctive voice and gritty lyrics, Storm with her edge and confidence, and Pistol Wise with his in your face attitude joined to form the Neighborhood Hustlaz. They released their first group mixtape, Probable Cause, in 2005. In late 2009, Neighborhood Hustlaz began recording the album Sun Up 2 Sun Down with So So Def platinum producer Young Juve. Now solidified as inspiring artists, Neighborhood Hustlaz are now Richmond’s most anticipated rap group. They are still back and forth to Atlanta recording songs for the album. Sun Up 2 Sun Down is almost completed and will be released in the summer of 2012.
