About Nick Beaudrie
Hello! My name is Nick Beaudrie and I would love to tell you a little bit about my music!
It all started 16 years ago when I was playing with my band "Morocco" in and around the Detroit metro area. With just a three piece band, we were selling out small venues wherever we played. The music was soley acoustic with influences from "The Goo Goo Dolls", "Toad the Wet Sprocket", "Blues Traveler", "Counting Crows", "Dave Matthews", "Matchbox 20", and many other top acoustic hits of the time. Our music was fun and entertaining and we always participated with the crowd!
After a small breakup, the band joined back together under the new name "Ten Leagues Later". We were now writing new material inspired by top 40 bands around the nation. We also started the process of recording our first ever CD! The recording went great, however, the band broke up again after a short run.
Those were the "good ol' days"! After our last break up, I pursued full time ministry as a music pastor. My wife and I found a great deal of success in this area. We moved to Illinois to join a ministry team growing a church from just over 100 to eventually breaking over 500 in attendance in less than 2 years! While in Illinois, I was approached by TMG to sign a record contract with them. Needless to say, I accepted! We moved back to Michigan where I have been writing new material and playing shows!
My influences are still acoustic artists. However, I get most inspired by groups such as "Shane and Shane", "Dave Barnes", "Matt Wertz", "Jason Mraz", and just about any other acoustic group with catchy lyrics!
Please come on out to the show if I'm playing in or near your neighborhood! I promise to entertain you! My shows are perfect for a good night out with someone you love! And most of all, it will be a "Night to Remember"!
