Well, there's quite a bit of music venues round here, you just need to know where to go.
Or if you're not digging the Essex venues, you can always go to London if you live close enough.
Southend has some good venues. Or for open mic nights there's lots of Pubs and Clubs all over the place that does them

Hi there..really like your material..very original, dreamy and haunting. "Soldiers That Fell" is gorgeous - will be back to listen to more of your material. Incidentally don't know if you've ever heard of English folk genius Nick Drake (1948-1974). If you haven't I'd suggest you check out his work. Unsung hero for many years his music is finally getting the global recognition it deserves. I think you'd love his stuff - apologies if you know about him already but his playing and tunings have been a big influence on myself and many others and I always try and introduce his music to those who may not have heard of him. You'd love his stuff
