1999, various urban tribes segregate Lisbon's nights (Portugal), two people reject integration into a movement, clan or tribe, deny the subjugation of standardization. Born at the hands of Yma (voice) and Lacerda (drums), the concept No Tribe is supported on free musical expression and reflected in the strength of strong rhythms. After a few years of musical experimentation and following the entry in 2005 of Isi (bass) and Roxo (guitar), "The Day Of Days" (demo 2006) is released being recorded and edited in the true DIY spirit, reflecting the chaos and inconsistency generated by years of mutations in the formation and sound but leads the band for their first time on stage in May 2006 at Juvfest III – Sanguedo in Sta. Maria da Feira following performances at the Cult Bar - Cacilhas (Almada) and Casa da Juventude de Sintra. The chaos that features in the band's sound is also reflected in the relationship between its elements. Yma, a founding element, abandons the project, leading Isi to ensure the voice and delivering the bass to Dourado. The band made two more concerts at late 2007 but the irresolvable differences of opinion about the direction the project should then precipitate the departure of Lacerda (early 2008), in the process of recording a new EP... definitive and irreversible disruption. The mood gradually increases and the creative process that will create the new sound of No Tribe is constantly evolving to sounds less pretentious and more rock. The desire to introduce a new sound to the world and make the project more credible and cohesive grows in us, not forgetting the concept behind the band. This requires, above all, persons who are part of a positive attitude and spirit of the band. The following is an inevitable period of auditions for new musicians. Zargo auditioned for the drums. We played a song with him and we were steamrollered by his extraordinary capacity to destroy sticks, skins and the drum kit in general. The search for a drummer was over, this would be the one! Later we met David Pais who immediately joined the band as bassist, bringing a new approach to second voices, with Dourado assuming now the role of fine stringed guitar. Finally with an alignment that suited us and made us believe in a brighter future, we concluded creative process and shortly after we were ready to record our second EP, "Primordial". This time we recorded with a greater commitment to sound quality, composition and use of improved technical conditions. The result could not have been better, in September 2009 "Primordial" sees the light of day, emerging from the bowels of the emaciated Blacksheep Studios with the precious cooperation of the producer Makoto Yagyu. It follows a period of madness sending the EP to magazines and publishers. The song 'Monster' begins to circulate in some radio programs and webcasts as a presentation single, receiving excellent reception and paving the way to record the video clip for the song with director Nuno Neves. In January 29th 2010, everything was ready for the official release of "Primordial" with an interview and the video clip presentation of the song 'Monster' in Curto Circuito (TV show) from SIC Radical (portuguese cable channel) following a concert at the Transmission Club (Lisbon). With no gimmicks, armed only with strong discharges of energy, adrenaline and sound, this formation demonstrates incredibly powerful, energetic, emotional and electrifying on stage performances. It follows a year filled with concerts across the country with bands such as Dollar Llama, New Mecanica, Replica, Ashes and Spiritual Way. Right now we wander in a turbulent, but fertile creative process, breaking down barriers and working on more progressive approaches and unpredictable. The result should be recorded and edited this year.
