MR. BLAKE FLOWERS / AKA OLE STYLE “G”
Blake has been into music before he could reach the Motorola stereo system of his mothers in the late 60’s.
So she put a foot stool in front of it so he could play his first few records as a 5 year old child.
When Blake reached the age of 15 his friend gave him a bass guitar and he learned to play every song in his album collection without any formal lessons. His mother says he has an ear like B.B. king because even today, B.B. king does not read sheet music, but plays by the tones of feeling and emotions.
By the time Blake reached 22 years young he had played in almost every night club in the O.S.U. campus and downtown brewery district with several bands. With his love for writing music he learned to play keyboards and drums along the way for the next several years.
Now at 47, technology of music has let him create his own sound and bring a positive message to the masses. While trying to reach the out of control youth of our cities without using cussing or slander of ones character that’s heard in music so much today.
The young and old have been drawn into the positive messages and fun story telling of his songs while making the young think differently about life choices.
I bring you Ole Style “G” and the G stands for Grooves!
