The “Overshade” project was born in February “2005 when the drummer Paolo Pedana gathers the rest of the prog-power group members around himself, composed of Tommaso Maria Guerri on bass guitar, Michele Palafreni on keyboards and piano, Alessandro Bravi on the guitar. Within a short time, while searchng for a singer, Paolo and Tommaso met Cesare Capaccioni, who initially only accepts to be a “studio-singer” and subsequently, struck by seriousness and the beauty of the project, decides to become a real part of the group. The idea was to unite different musical genres, to link various styles and shades throught each component that could express them. So within a short period the songs were ready, all of them came out from Paolo’s mind and rearranged singularly by each musicians. The research of encircling atmospheres, the aim of conveying the changing of sensations, the choice of a slightly less extreme sound -all this without repudiating the progressive origins, is the basis with wich “Seven Visions of a Broken Life”- the band’s first album was achieved. Self produced, SVOBL was born to be a link between purists of metal music and lovers of commercial genres, means to be a transport to carry the ones closer to the others
During this couple of years after SVOBL the project was frozen by a deep research to find a suitable guitarris
and bassist that ended on summer 2010 first with the recruit of Giovanni Zeppetti on bass, who had a side music project with Pedana and Christian Bastianoni on guitar
New formation, new sound, new style, new ideas and a new life has began for the band who immediately started to record their new Single album "The Bridge of Temptation" and projecting the 2011 Overshade new album "Once I had a dream".
