Poison A.k.a. Papapoison (singer/song writer) Chris Lee (born January 13, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario) is an independent Canadian song writer and recording artist. His introduction into performing music began as a child at talent shows. As a rapper, he performs under the mononym Poison a.k.a. Papapoison. His performance history alongside artists Papoose, Jim Jones, M.O.P., and Wu Tang Clan began by backing up fellow musician and big brother Mayhem Morearty. He has released three mixtapes, 2006’s Connecting Tha Dot Chapter 1 Featuring Rich Kidd, 2007’s Connecting Tha Dot 2 Featuring Mayhem Morearty and 2009’s Connecting Tha Dot 3 Featuring The Out Here Campaign (25 artists from the greater Toronto area), which is considered his best release to date. He is currently in the stages of recording his debut solo album Summer School, which is expected to be released in March 2011; the first single from the album, It’s Hard Work, will be released with a music video in March 2011. After the release of his most current c.d., he has established relationships with many independent artists across the greater Toronto area, by living out the title of his c.d. series, Connecting Tha Dot. Poison has been writing songs since he was seventeen years old. Since then he has written and released over thirty songs and collaborated with members of American rap artists like Wu Tang Killabeez and D Block. In 2006 Poison began to write, record, manufacture, and distribute his c.d.’s independently across Canada hand to hand and worldwide through the internet. To date he has sold over 2000 c.d.’s. Poison has collaborated with music producers Soze, Junia T, Kevlaar 7, and Rich Kidd who has produced for artists like Drake, Nelly Furtado, Kardinal Offishall, K-os, Busta Rhymes, and Raekwon. He has also worked with Toronto recording artists, Tommy Spitz (GCP) , Camoflauge (S.L.U.G.), C4, Mayhem Morearty, Golden Chile, Jigz Crillz.
