I write songs. I play them for people. Sometimes at bars and cafes, sometimes at festivals and concerts and showcases. Sometimes on the electronic radiophone, sometimes on the tube. I've written at least l000 songs since I started out at 15 years of age. I've released three independent albums since 2001. I was born and raised in Australia, and moved to live in Germany in 2008. I lived in Berlin from September 08 til April 09, and now we just moved to a little picture-postcard village in the southern part of Germany, a couple of blocks from a chocolate factory and our rear neighbour is a 500-year-old church with a soothing clock-tower bell every Sunday morning at 11. I always kind of assumed everybody else I knew was also writing songs or poems or stories and I never gave the whole career-side of songwriting and music much consideration at all until 2001. Meantime I went to college, studied journalism and communications and education and history and then took an eight year break from study to focus on sport, and on writing poems and short stories and songs. I got jobs driving cabs, pushing pencils for various government agencies, labouring, sorting mail, lots of other stuff, too. By the early-to-mid 1990s I was doing public relations, journalism, desktop publishing, editing, sub editing, drawing cartoons and illustrations. In 2000-2001 I quit all that stuff and focused just on writing my songs, recording them, getting them played on radio, playing gigs, concerts, showcases, whatever I could get into. In 2001 I put out my first album - "Breathe". In 2002 I put out "Stagefright", my second album. Both released by my lone self. In 2003 I moved to Germany for a year where I lived, got married, and played gigs. Then my new wife and I went back to Australia and I played more gigs, got some more airplay, released my third independent album "Born Naked", and taught some guitar and songwriting to people aged 7 to 70. In 2008 we returned to Germany, lived in Berlin for 8 months, and three months ago (August 2009) we moved again to Waldenbuch in southern Germany. I play acoustic guitar, lap-slide guitar, piano, stomp-box and harmonica
