About Paul Scene
Paul Scene is a powerful acoustic act out of the Harrisburg – Lancaster, PA area. With the pop sensibility of Dashboard Confessional, the lyrical mastery of Brand New, the raw passion of Alkaline Trio and the hooks of Taking Back Sunday, he is blazing a fresh path out of the beaten scene with his own unique style.
Currently, Paul is promoting his new release, a split CD with former band-mate Patrick Downey. The CD, called “Patrick Downey, Paul Scene, and the Devil Makes Three,” was completely produced, recorded, and mastered by Paul Scene. It was released on February 20, 2009, and is available on iTunes now. He is also trying to set up a DIY tour of New England this summer, so contact him if you want him to play in your area.
Paul got his stage name by accident; he was dubbed “Paul Scene” as a joke in high school because of a myspace picture, and the name stuck. The first time he ever used the name on stage was with the punk rock band, the Big Spin, in which he played guitar and sung. Paul formed the band with bassist and singer Marc BigSpin back in 2004, and he quickly became the primary songwriter. Paul released three albums in the band, before they parted ways: The 4017 (2005), Live at the Trocadero Theatre (2006), and Take a Look Around (2007).
Paul Scene has high hopes for the future. He has a rapidly growing online fan base, and a brand new CD. Paul is always looking for more shows and opportunities to get his music heard. Armed with just an acoustic guitar and some powerful songs, Paul Scene is ready to rock a basement, coffee house, or barn near you.
