I was born with music in my DNA which explains why music is my love and my life. My mother filled my heart with Blues Music at the age of 2 and that gave me my deep, strong soul I still possess today. While listening to Blues Music I discovered that music could control one’s feelings and thoughts.
At the age of 8, I discovered Hip Hop/Rap Music from my brother’s collection of albums. My first experiences of Hip Hop Music was listening to artists such as Kool Moe Dee, Big Daddy Kane, Run D.M.C., Public Enemy, Slick Rick, and a wide variety of others. When I got exposed to Rap Music, my first influences were 2 Pac, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, N.W.A., LL Cool J, Ice T, Geto Boys, and the variation of artists continued to increase over the years.
At the age of 9, I took a shot at writing my first 16 bars with an under-developed talent, but little did I know what was in store for me in the future. By age 10, I wrote my first song with Lil Jack and performed it at school. Our peers at the time, cheered us on and that was more than enough inspiration for me to continue writing and pursuing my dream. Song after song that I wrote caused my passion for music to start growing until I finally reached the point that my hunger for writing music had become insatiable.
By the age of 13, I started recording my first album, but it never got finished due to the lame ass producer stealing my songs and trying to use them as his own. My determination to become an artist continued and continues to grow each day, which is why I’m finally about to release my upcoming album “3:28P.I.”. To explain this metaphor, I was born at 3:28P.M. which was the time that God gave me life cause I am a miracle baby if you’ve ever seen one.
So “3:28P.I.” is just another way of saying that it is my time for me to breathe life into my music and let the world get ready for me again. After all of these years of living in a small town surrounded by poverty, I ventured out into the world through the Navy and ended up in Saint Louis, MO which is were I got my connection with Ground Breakin’ Productions.
God has blessed me with a team worth working with to get my music distributed all over the world. I have to keep grinding to get my music heard because I do this for my wonderful son, which is my inspiration and my motivation.
Tre-Man you truly are my blessing and a father could not ask for a more wonderful son. You are my world, my reason, my heart, my life, my everything and I LOVE YOU, TRE-MAN. I also do this to prove a point to everyone, “Just because you’re dealt a hand not worth playing in life, Don’t let that hand keep you from winning in the long run.” This has always been my calling since I was young, so now IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME I ANSWER THE PHONE.
