Inspired by R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Gospel and Dance, Playerre’s style ranges from sultry to funky to jazzy. Whether it’s a party starting dance track, a smooth groove or romantic ballad, his genuineness resonates through his romantic, commanding and captivating voice, bringing passion as well as sincerity. Simply put, the music that Playerre creates is lush. It’s thriving, delicious, savory and sensual; it’s Playerre! Born in Chicago, Illinois on April 19, 1967, Pierre Andre’ Evans is an innovative singer/songwriter. A native of Chicago, Playerre has always been surrounded by music. “As a child, I was always around music. My mother, who’s a classically trained pianist, could always be found playing the piano in the dining room. She never forced me to play, but encouraged me when I did. I’ve always played by ear. My father was a DJ and a singer and led many singing groups in his youth. My brother introduced me to DJ’ing when I was a teenager, in the early 80’s. I was bitten by the music bug at birth,” says Playerre. Since then, Playerre has continued to perform at numerous venues throughout the Chicagoland area including the New Regal Theater, the South Shore Cultural Center, aboard the Spirit of Chicago cruise ship, Navy Pier, the House of Blues Chicago, Ole Lounge, the historic Checkerboard Lounge, “Showtime in Chicago” talent showcase at IIT, Mr. G’s Supper Club Lounge and the Victor Hotel Chicago. He has also been featured on CAN TV (Cable Access) “Everybody’s Got a Story” television show. “AVALANCHE!” his debut mini CD, will debut in the Spring of 2010. The CD is a collection of Neo Soul, R&B and Chicago’s very own Steppin’ music. The first single “GUARANTEED LOVE" is a sexy, smooth, sultry, infectious Steppin cut that conveys the desire for true, genuine, everlasting love. “It’s a desire that we all wish for,” says Playerre. “WEIGH ME DOWN” is a groovin’ Neo Soul jam that celebrates a woman’s self respect, confidence and independence, as this excerpt from the lyrics shows, “I ain’t tryin’ to clown, but ain’t nobody weighin’ me down!” “FANTASY” is a late night, quiet storm, love making R&B groove. This is exemplified by the following lyric “Baby girl, wanna see your body wet…yes….uh huh.” Playerre jokingly quips, “Plenty of babies will be made from this cut.” Playerre is a natural born entertainer. He’s also a Model, who has worked with numerous designers and stepped across several Chicagoland runways. He’s also an Actor and has numerous on-camera roles in various movies including, “Home Alone II” and “Richie Rich” starring Macauly Culkin, “The Negotiator” starring Samuel Jackson, “Never Been Kissed” starring Drew Barrymore and “Road to Perdition” starring Tom Hanks, Paul Newman and Jude Law. He’s also appeared on TV shows like “Early Edition”, “Cupid” and “The Judge Mathis Show.” At the present time, he can be seen acting in the live stage play “The Diary of Christopher LeMark” by “I love the Entertainment Industry and I’m taking it by storm,” proclaims Playerre. Poetry just seems to flow from Playerre. He’s a published Poet with works in print as well as online. In the very near future, he plans to publish a collection of his works as well as attempt his hand in Playwriting. Never being one to just be satisfied with creating music, Playerre professionally DJ’s. He has been on the “1’s and 2’s” since the tender age of 12 and has continuously kept the dance floor packed with joyful dancers for the past 30 years. In 2009, Playerre became an entrepreneur and launched "PINNACLE ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCTIONS."
