Prestige ManChild (aka: Fea, Stige, PM) born Feaster McClurkin on March 14, 1981 in Brooklyn, New York is an African American rapper/hip hop artist. In addition to pursuing his own career, Prestige ManChild is one of the founders of Drama Co. Records; an upcoming label which undoubtedly has the potential to nod heads in a fashionable manner. Stige has amassed over 6o songs in his catalog from the time he first decided to pursue a career in the music industry as a hip hop artist (2001’). He has managed to build a strong fan base without regular commercial spins. PM has recorded 2 solo projects (The BlackMans’ SoundTrack, and Scriptures of A ManChilD) and 1 collaboration (Hypathetikly Speakin’) with Irv Soprano. Although none of these albums achieved commercial success, Prestige has none-the-less managed to be viewed amongst his peers as a lyrical heavyweight. Prestige first discovered his love for music in 1996 at Willingboro High School in Willingboro, NJ when he and three classmates (Draztik, Mic Wayz, and The Veteran) formed a group called Alliance Fleet. It was around this time that he recorded his first solo song entitled Lost Worlds. During the time period from 1996 to 2000 Alliance Fleet went on to record 3 projects (Acid Rain, Alliance MindState, and 2000 & Beyond) as a group which would create a buzz throughout the area, and give Alliance Fleet the motivation foundation to form Drama Co. Records. While in search of a deal (distribution or a record depending on which offer comes first and is more negotiable on paper), Prestige is currently working on his third solo project entitled Write & Record. Once established as a solo artist, Prestige has plans of taking Drama Co. Records to the next level, completing a shared dream of success. Prestige is looking to delve into other business ventures as well. Mainly a Self Promotional Entrepreneur Store with the main focus being on working with urban youth; his goal being to help build both their access to education for their future careers, and personal self esteem. PM has smash songs in his catalog such as My Umbrella, Searchin, 9-to-5, Like a Toy, Roots, Crush and many more Prestige hopes to gain the attention of commercial airwaves. He agrees that Real Hip-Hop is dead. HE attributes its demise to several factors (the saturation of the finger snap and the often imitated sound of the south along with DVD’s and the image that is often portrayed as “Gangster Rap” on them) that give hip hop a bad name; ultimately leaving a bad taste in the mouths of critics. Even in the face of today’s challenges, Prestige still feels as though there is a chance for survival through other avenues within hip hop. He intends to find his niche through dedication, determination, and the understanding that knowledge is power.
