my name is Chris I'm 33 years old. I have a wife, 2 kids and a dog. My musical journey begain at the age of 9, when I heard the drums on In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins. I decided that the drums were for me. That Christmas I got my first drum kit, a Remo Jr Pro. It didn't take me long to learn how to play. There were times I'd set in my room for hours with my head phones on just listening to music. Most kids were outside playing tag and with there toys, I'd be in my basement playing my drums nothing else could compare. A few years later I joined the concert and jazz band and hated it. Sitten there playing other peoples music and having to look at paper and not being able to be creative. So I said F this and formed my own band and started learning how to right songs. As I got older I got hooked on playing live, when you see 3 or 4 hundred people in a club enjoying your bands music that rush you get from the first note killer. One of the bands I was in we recorded a demo ep and I remember after I finished my drum tracks and went in the booth to listen I realized that the otherside of the glass looked apealing. From that point on I sat next to the engineer and watched.A few weeks later I was talking to a friend about going to school for audio engineering, He said my friend went to this school down in Florida called Fullsail. The next day I made plans to go down and check it out. A year later I had a 2 year associates degree in recording arts. I got a job at a radio station as a local producer for the Imus In The Morning Show And Later Don And Mike. After awhile I felt I had learned all I could and wanted to do production. Making commercials for the radio helped me be more creative and learn more about digital recording and how to use effects. My 7 and a half years in radio built my studio that I have now. Everytime a engineer would update or remodel a studio I got the old equipment. of couse there were some stuff I had to buy. With that now I well tell you about Pudgy Thurman, Pudgy is my alter ego he allows all the crazy stuff inside me to come out and become a song. The songs I write are not ment to be profound or change the world, there ment to take you a way for awhile laugh and not think about life. Rube One Out has a Hip Hop beat with no samples I programed the drums and played the synth parts and sang. The cool thing about my stuff is that each song sounds different. Not all my songs are Hip Hop some are country and island music also I have a few skits I'm working on. So thats it please leave a comment and let me know what you think of my stuff. Enjoy Pudgy
