From the ashes of an almost dead genre Sudden Verge emerges with a determination and grit not seen in a long time. The line up is Rusty Teasdale – singer/songwriter/guitarist and James Collins – guitarist/co-song writer/videographer.  Also mastering ,mixing, and additional instruments and vocals are added by Robert Lee Hall fromTreborLabsStudios.com.   Being influenced from Soul Asylum, Foo Fighters, Candlebox, Dinosaur JR, The Cult, Billy Idol, Fleetwood Mac, Pearljam, Mother Love Bone, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Cure, Nirvana. Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Our Lady Peace, Soundgarden and Tom Petty.   Sudden Verge’s sound is largely based on the grunge/alternative sound of the 90s with a hint of blues and new wave thrown in. “Just trying to play the music that I enjoyed listening to while I was growing up. Basically if it is not something I had listened to and enjoy myself it gets scraped.” states vocalist/guitarist Rusty Teasdale. After suffering some personal tragedy Rusty took a step back to examine life and got inspiration from new friends on jamstudioforum.com. Fueled by the new inspiration he began writing from a place of desperation and self reflection. Putting together everything he had learned from his new friends he decided to start his own record label with partner and friend James Collins and do everything themselves free from “the cookie cutter mindset” of major labels. The most impressive thing about the songs from “The Sad State of Things”, the bands first studio album set for release at the end of 2012, is the honesty of the lyrics. "I just try to be real and tell people the truth. Life is not always pretty, but its the story we are given and we must tell all. I feel like people can see through the lies of most artists. I mean if your not honest with your fans they will know and they will loose respect for you. I just want to give people the truth. We aren’t considered a “Christian” band, but our muse comes from everywhere God, life, love, old jobs, you name it we write about it."
