Mike grew up in the suburb of Maple Grove, MN. He went to film school at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and made his love of movies and monsters his lifes work. Not only does Mike enjoy creating award winning films such as The G.I. and Finger Food, but he also started a small subsidiary company tagged Rockford Road Pictures, dedicated to creating quickly made, yet stylized exploitation films in the horror and action genres. Mike met Ben Trandem while attending The Minneapolis College of Art and Design and found similar interests with him in filmmaking. He then went on to meet Lance Hendrickson through Ben and the rest is history. Aside from making and directing film, he currently works at Undertone Music in Downtown Minneapolis as a sound designer for film and television. His current work as a sound designer includes several short independent films and the feature film Summer School. He also is a dialogue editor for the Food Network show "Diners Drive Ins and Dives." Besides making films, Mike enjoys watching talking and drinking films (especially of the 70's), shooting guns, chilling with his girlfriend, listening to 50's and 60's Rock 'n Roll, cruising, graphic design, and of course a good glass of scotch and a smoke.
