Rashad"thaPoet" is an Activist/Actor/Spoken Word Artist from Nashville, TN. He released the critical acclaimed album "Witness To The Truth" in 2005. In June of the same year he released the first nationally released mixtape "vol.1, and in Nov he released Vol.2 the Love Session". Rashad is the first spoken word artist from Nashville to sell over 10,000 records. He teamed up with producer Shae Jones and released the 2007 "Slept On Album Of The Year" "Listen: Mind Over Matter". Rashad has gone on to release 7 albums. His latest and most commercially successful project "Talk To The People" was released in May 08. In the Summer of 08 Rashad mounted the "Talk To The People Tour" which hit 12 cities. Rashad has formed his own Record Label One Way Out Records Nashville, which is being used as an outlet for artist with something to say. Rashad will continue to bring light where there is darkness, and break down more doors, with Spoken Word and Poetry.
