Biography

Many may think that my music career started when I chose to pursue this calling, but I have been a musician since the age of 7. I started out on the trumpet, which many say is one of the hardest instruments to learn. I studied this instrument 7 years from elementary to high school. Many may think that my music career started when I chose to pursue this calling, but I have been a musician since the age of 7. I started out on the trumpet, which many say is one of the hardest instruments to learn. I studied this instrument 7 years from elementary to high school. At the age of 13, while attending a Mardi Gras parade, I saw the drumline of all drumlines in New Orleans, Fortier high school drum section. Their sound was pristine, clear, and crisp; it was at that moment I knew somehow I had to change instruments at my school Edna Karr high school. I worked hard to develop my skills as a tenor drummer, becoming becoming section leader before graduating high school. If you identify with the high school band scene in New Orleans, then you know I was definitely up against some of this nation’s best. In 2000, I returned to New Orleans and began teaching music to teenagers and pre-teens as a Drum Instructor. In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina hit our city, it was like the music receded with the water. Today, nothing is the same. The love for the music is gone, the love for people is gone and most importantly the love of life is slowing going. Ain’t no more Djs Uptown for a spur of the moment quick set-up, just so we can see the p-poppers break it down, catch the wall and back it up. My city is a shell of its self but all over the United States I know my people are just like me, repping where we’re from and how much we miss it and how nowhere else compares. And if you ever went there before Katrina you know. So now through my raps I try to bring you to New Orleans and let you get a feel for it. I’m just one voice, but I intend on making mines heard. See I was told, it starts with a dream; hard work and determination can make it a REALITY. I’m not a gangster rapper, that’s not the kind of life I’ve lived. I have lived a life of truth, honesty, humility and loyalty and that’s the reality I want to share with my fans. Music is in truth my life, I wake up to it, I sleep in it, I know I have connected to my DESTINY, and now I can explain the quickening that I’m feeling pumping through my veins. Checkout my raps let me now what u think in comments thanks in advance
